We held our East Shores Spring Work Day on Saturday May 2, 2026. The rain held off and our gathering was a success! Our work day lasted about 2-1/2 hours and was attended by ten neighbors.
Attending were—Scott Kilgore, Kay Phillipp, Carl and Cathy Friedholm, Denise Cook, Larry Hawkins, Susie Thompson, Evans Massey and Wyatt Massey.
Scott, Carl and Larry handled the pressure washing around the clubhouse and down to the dock. Kay, Cathy and Denise gave the locker rooms a thorough cleaning. Mark helped organize the storage room, Evans cleaned the storage room and Wyatt helped bring out the furniture that Carl pressure washed later.
We held off on cleaning the tennis court because our pressure washing equipment had too high a pressure. Carl and Evans will work on that later.
Thanks again to all who helped out.

One of our new neighbors was asking about the history of Lake Keowee and I said I would send out info about a U-tube video that tells about the formation of Lake Keowee. It is called "History of Lake Keowee in South Carolina." In addition, I would like to recommend to our new families Ron Rash's book, One Foot in Eden. It is a fictional story about the families that were impacted by the flooding of their farms/homesites when the lake was created.
